TVR Nationals 2010
On Road Gas - 2/4/2010 10:27:01 AM

Huzzit Team,
2010 is well on the way with the Electric guys having their first National this weekend. We have a little more time with our first event being on 6/7 March.
Remember for 2010 it is four Nats, Best three to count!

Dates for 2010 are confirmed as follows
06//07 March TVR
15/16 May East London
17/18 July Durban
23/24 October TRAP Pretoria

By going to just 3 Nats last year, it was hoped that we would get back to big entries and reduce the running costs for all but most guys want more racing so its back to the usual 4 again this year.
It’s hoped that more hosts will make accom. available to their visitors and be reciprocated at away Nats!
The Rule book and the 2010 approved body list are updated and will be available from the Downloads section of the Sarda site in the next day or two. I will E Mail a copy to anyone who wants one if you just send me an E mail. Rule changes were very limited and consist mainly of the return of the 4 x 5 minute Sprints on Saturday.
The layout and direction will be as per usual for Arnies track,
So who is hot for the 2010 season? Who is driving what for the new season?? Let’s see some input on the GAS Forum on the Sarda site. Lets get this season going!!
Talk of some comebacks in certain classes as well.
Its confirmed that The “Youngster from Pretoria, Faizel Salie has entered the 1/8 class, Faizel, always very quick and consistant, will enjoy the fact that TVR has similar sweepers to the Border track, where he is always so quick, so expect him up in the top 3-4 is the 1/8 class.
Rumblings about Karl keep surfacing but nothing concrete on these yet.
Also rumours of Martin van Eeden doing some laps at TVR the other day?? Apparently he is back in JHB
and Chummy is working in Pretoria so we could well see this combination back on the Nats circuit!
No news yet on the Sheperd boys but will do some follow ups there.
I see the 2009 Enduro 200mm Champion Christian Fourie was first entry in so he is out to defend his title, while Rowan is showing his hand this weekend at the electric Nat as well. Story goes that Rowan feels the Championship could well go his way this season.
Munsie is very quiet at the moment with no stories yet about pre season testing? I can confirm that the
Durban boys have, on the other hand, had a bundle of testing and February has only just begun. Tony D’ Oliviera was looking very quick with his new 733 and it’s hoped he will again travel to some of the Nats this year.
The Cape boys are banking on their youngster in the 200 and 235 class, Pete Moller is having a crack at both classes this season so hopefully his pitman is up to it this year!
Border sees Pat already packed for the Nat! Not sure about the balance of the Border boys but expect to see a few more of them at TVR. Same goes for the AMR lads who had a good meeting this weekend so expect more from them to travel his year, while little is known about the Pretoria contingent as yet.
With quite a bit of interest from the newly formed Middelburg club drivers, it’s hoped that a few of them will get together with the flying Witbank squad and show up in numbers.
Also the home club team have a lot to show this year after a successful 2009 TVR so let’s see if they can go one better in 2010!
